about

This recording came at the end of much time spent together as a trio on the album release tour for 'A Moveable Feast' in September 2015, and documents the evolution of relationships both musical and personal.

With the last track, Ambleside, we dedicate this release to a mentor of ours, the great British pianist John Taylor, sadly deceased in July 2015. His last words of encouragement to us were "All power to your elbows wherever you may go", which as well as encapsulating his mischievous sense of humour, has spurred us on in all our musical endeavours since. John's knack for risk-taking, devilish wit and outside-the-box thinking gave us much inspiration as a group, and we tried to approach our playing together in the same vein. We hope you enjoy.
